€41,618 grant approved by Minister of State McHugh for Tearmann Éanna Teo

Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, today (Friday 1 June) announced, he has approved a grant of €41,618 for Thearmann Éanna Teo. to buy a mini bus with an elevator for the Day Centre.  

Announcing the grant, the Minister of State stated that he was satisfied that he was able to assist the Centre in providing this minibus.

Certainly, a travel system is essential in the life of an ageing person to enable them to access services and events that are organised in the area.  

This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action area of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
