DFAT update on security incident in Turku, Finland

We are aware of a security incident in Turku, Finland.

The Department is monitoring developments through the Irish Embassy in Helsinki, which is in close contact with the local emergency services.
There are no reports of any Irish citizens being affected at this stage.
Irish citizens in Turku should exercise caution and follow the advice of the local authorities. They are also advised to make contact with family and friends in Ireland to let them know they are safe.
