The Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD, has today welcomed the opening of the 2022 campaign for the position of Recruit Prison Officer in the Irish Prison Service. Minister McEntee urges people, especially those in minority and new Irish communities, to consider the Irish Prison Service as a career.

Grants of up to €1,000 towards the cost of medically required contact lenses are to be made available every two years for employees and the self-employed, under new measures announced today by Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys.
