Minister invites Children’s Rights Alliance to join Oversight Group on the Implementation of the Ryan Report on deeply significant day for abuse survivors
The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald, T.D has decided to broaden the membership of the Oversight Group on the Implementation of the Ryan Report to include the voices of children and civic society.
“I am inviting the Children’s Right Alliance to join the Oversight Group to include the voice of children and civic society in the implementation of the Ryan Report”, said Minister Fitzgerald.
“This Government is committed to ensuring that the Ryan Report Implementation Plan is fully implemented” said Minister Fitzgerald. “By creating a full Cabinet Ministry with responsibility for Children and Youth Affairs we are clearly demonstrating the commitment of this Government to protecting children. The Government has also decided to establish a dedicated agency which will have responsibility for children and family services in the future.”
