Taoiseach Micheál Martin met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore today.

The Grassland farmer of the year competition for 2022 was officially launched today in Johnstown Castle Estate by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue TD. This is the sixth year of the competition which recognises farmers who are achieving high levels of grass utilisation in a sustainable manner.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin, together with Ministers Darragh O’Brien Peter Burke T.D and Malcolm Noonan updated on progress of the implementation of Housing for All, including the launch of a new €50m Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund which will support bringing vacant and underused buildings in our towns and villages back into residential use.

Following Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, the Minister for Defence, Simon Coveney TD, has announced that the Government has approved a move to ‘Level of Ambition 2’ (LOA2), as set out in the capability framework devised by the Commission on the Defence Forces.

EIB is expected to strengthen backing for climate action, clean transport, renewable energy, healthcare, education, agriculture and business in Ireland.

Minister Catherine Martin, has welcomed the launch of this year’s Dublin Pride Festival 2022, and particularly the programme of activities featuring the work of artists and other creatives.

Minister Charlie McConalogue T.D. today announced that the new national agri-environment scheme, proposed as part of Ireland’s draft CAP Strategic Plan (CSP), will be known as the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (‘ACRES’).
