Minister Fitzgerald confirms that 5th annual report of the Special Rapporteur on Children to be presented to Cabinet next Tuesday
Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs has today confirmed that the 5th annual report of the Special Rapporteur on Child Protection, Mr Geoffrey Shannon, is due be presented to Cabinet next Tuesday and will be published after that.
The report has been circulated to a number of Government Departments over recent months for their observations.
The Minister also responded to inaccurate comments suggesting that the Taoiseach had yesterday indicated in the Dáil that the report would publish this week.
The Minister notes that the Dáil record indicates that the Taoiseach did not confirm publication this week.
